Department Profile

The Lynn Fire Department consists of 200 uniformed personnel, 4 Office Staff and 9 fire alarm operators.

Uniformed personnel are divided among 4 Line Divisions, which staff 6 Engine Companies, 3 Ladder Companies, Safety Officers, 1 Als Ambulance, and District Chiefs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and Staff Divisions which include a Communications Division, an EMS Division, a Training Division, a Maintenance Division, a Fire Prevention Division and an Arson Squad.

 Non-uniformed personnel staff the Fire Alarm dispatch Center and the Administrative Office.

All Department operations are under the command of the Chief of the Department who is assisted by the Deputy Chief. Either or both the Chief and the Deputy are available on call 24 hours a day.
